Chara, Part 47

The Determinator is a humongous mecha fuelled by determination. Undyne pilots it during her final battle with Frisk.

Profile[]

Appearance[]

The Determinator is a large, blue-green mecha that is shaped to look like Undyne. Below its arms are two containers filled with Determination. The mecha also has wings that glow just like a save point would.

It also has two cannons on its shoulders and a large SAVE point symbol on its chest. This symbol is also evidently some kind of entrance, as Frisk uses it to rescue Undyne from the mecha in Part 47.

When pushed to its limits, its battle sprite turns red and its wings begin to flicker and glitch. Additionally, the tanks of Determination under its arms begin to crack.

Overview[]

The Determinator was built by Undyne as a vessel for the Determination Experiments. It was designed both with the intention of breaking the Barrier and as a means of defence in a worst-case scenario. It has two large tanks containing determination as well as six unseen compartments for the human SOULS.

Main Story[]

The Determinator makes its first appearance in the post-credits scene of Prime Time Turnabout.

Trivia[]

  • The abs painted on the Determinator were suggested by PAPYRUS.
  • Its battle themes, "Say Your Prayers, Punk!" and "Defiance For Your Friends", are homages to "Battle of Providence" from Bravely Second: End Layer.
  • The Determinator is unique in that its battle sprite is on the same scale as an overworld sprite, as evidenced by Part 49.
